一年制的项目。一届 30 人左右基本都是国人，海本陆本对半开，中游左右 985 各收一个左右。过去就要开始准备面试所以比较仓促。workload 看选课，有水有硬但是但是 class size 普遍很小，和本科生一起上。因为人均资源多也有人联系教授进组做 research。位置相对比较村，离 nyc 也有一定车程。找工情况好像不错，总体上岸率还是很高的。

2 year 招的少，且也无CPT，2023fall新开项目，研究型，托福口语严卡26分，因为需要学期内做TA

对，Rushmiere在orientation的时候也说可以延。因为1.5年不给OPT（类似是通过强制手段让学生选择不延期一学期）。经验教训😂，不过如果想的话，其实可以做一整年的visiting student（相当于两年，而不是1.5年），是有opt的，不过具体情况每年可能会变，可以邮寄咨询Rushmiere。

CT 的话我觉得没那么难… 知道很多人都是一段实习就进来了。 有实习+SoP只要不是很拉垮+面试可以的话我觉得不难。

可以选择读1.5年，36学分的方案

你对Cornell ECE master这个项目有误解 国内普通学校的EE本科生 GPA 85 + 托福 95 （口语22+ 就能进 这个项目比你放在保底的第四列的几个CS项目应该都不会更难 你把它放第二个reach的list属于是完全不了解 然后Columbia CS和Duke的CS 都比你第二列大部分学校难 你放在第三列稳稳？

我看你好像还录取了Columbia的CS？在意国内名气去这个呗 就可能人比Brown多不少 你真要比较 就在Columbia和Brown里面选

虽然我也认为Cornell ECE MEng和Brown CS比起来还是Brown更好一点，毕竟是正统CS项目，但是康村这个项目也没你说的这么不堪。Cornell ECE MEng本身就是一个很适合转码的项目，基本上可以选成全软，完全不需要学EE的课程，而且Cornell也不是藤校垫底吧，五小藤谁也别说谁差呗，论工科的话康村还是五小藤里最好的你咋不说？再说了康村这个项目bar也不算低，我当初20年申请的时候大多录的都是中等985 GPA 3.8+的学生，我相信同学质量都不算差，我认识一个同届去该项目弱基础转码的现在去了Google。非康村学生，非利益相关，只是觉得你说的和实情不太符合而已。

Tech CS Meng

两学期，无法延期

找工作还是要靠自己，Cornell Ttitle在目前美国市场不会起到太大作用。

这门课是CT主打的studio里的必修课。MEng学位第一学期就上。开学之前会给你很多How Might We之类的挑战让你去挑15个感兴趣的然后从高到低按兴趣排序

这里想分享一下我当初申请CT的时候想到的tips，take this with a grain of salt：
Entrepreneurship, entrepreneurship, entrepreneurship. CT is all about entrepreneurship. 如果你去了解一下当初为什么要建立CT你就知道当时的纽约市长Michael Bloomberg, 对没错他也是Bloomberg的创始人兼CEO，想要在纽约创造一个纽约的硅谷。如果你能在你的PS上面写点关于创业精神的东西和在面试中谈到相关的绝对会是个加分项！
这个适用于任何学校。申请之前可以看看学校的教授和了解一下他们的研究方向和作品。我申请CT之前就在一个Conference上面听过一个CT教授分享他的作品，觉得很感兴趣就在PS上面写到当时的感受和希望能有机会上他的课。

Cornell Tech非常有趣的一点就是在看重tech aspect的同时也非常强调entrepreneurship和business value。对于我来说最吸引人的就是product studio。它和capstone project有一点点类似，但也不完全相同。在开学前学校会提供几十个“how might we” questions 的list，每一个问题都是由公司的advisor提出来的。这些公司有大有小，大到有amazon，google，Bloomberg，政府部门等，小的则很多是startup。每个同学可以根据自己的兴趣rank top 10，学校会根据每个人填的信息和个人背景来组队，所以你选到的一定是你最喜欢的10问题中对一个。每个product的队伍里都会有不同专业的小伙伴，这一点我觉得非常类似在公司里会需要和不同背景的同事一起合作，大家拥有不一样的skill set对于团队合作非常有利。事实证明在做project的时候MBA的小伙伴们常常能带来不一样的思路，并且在做presentation和写东西的时候常常教我们做人... 在develop product的过程中也会有很多次presentation，所以也是锻炼自己public speaking的好机会。

我本科是CS的，不过我同届的同学本科背景还挺多样的。哥大MSCS应该不会因为本科不是CS就直接拒掉的

有这种双线操作的实力和执行力哪个学校的MS转PhD都可以一试了。但是对哥大大多数mscs学生，特别是22-24fall入学的，我觉得这个经验没什么用，因为不管是找实习还是科研，难度和卷度都提升了很多

以前地里也有人后悔去了Columbia, 她说Columbia收费贵, 是圈钱中的战斗机. 但他提供的资源不值这个钱

哥大MSCS选课还是比较自由的，如果担心课业压力比较大的话CS系可以选择做research来满足一部分毕业要求。系里每个学期开始的时候会办research fair供同学们和教授联系做research，也可以直接选教授开的seminar类型的课程。这类seminar课程本身就是讨论科研以及做科研，也是比较好的机会，周围有些同学就是这样跟着教授做research。另外哥大CS系是可以额外申请延长一个学期毕业来做research的，这额外的一个学期不收学费。

我当初是选择一边做research一边跟着其他同学一起刷题，暑假也是在大厂全职实习的同时业余继续做research，确实会比较累一些，但也同时体验到两种生活，更知道自己喜欢什么。还有的同学选择暑假去大厂实验室做research intern，也是不错的选择。

就语言成绩和gre来看，大毛没有那么重视，应该达到线就可以。委员会比较看综合背景、代码经历和艺术背景。申请的时候要提交代码sample和arts sample，可能要多下点功夫整理一下portfolio，他们比较看这个。CSDA同学中不少是在计算机/数字设计领域工作过 / 或者二硕的，不知道是不是委员会喜欢这种背景？

省流版（TLDR）：一言以蔽之，CSDA是一个很辛苦的计算机master，非常不水，可能大毛的MSCS也是同样的道理。如果你想留美找工，它可能真的会误事，除非你在来美国之前（9月开学以前的暑假就已经非常充分地刷题 做完项目 准备好简历and everything），否则基本上没精力找工作。

（1）来~我来给你算算：原专业一般总共会要求修10分6个core+4个electives最划算的上法是原专业只用把6个core上了剩下的4个electives全部用去修MCIT因为upenn可以互认4个学分那就是说你最后毕业就是16分毕业6个原专业core+10分MCIT的要求

（2）dual后只能放弃dual的专业不能放弃原专业的而且我觉得也没有必要放弃原专业交叉人才不香吗？而且以后万一你的原专业又火了呢

（3）如果两个都修的话一般会延长半年到一年的时间毕业一般来说就是从入学到双专业毕业需要三年还多了一个暑假找intern

完全可以选成一个几乎就是DATA的学位：6门必修里选4门data science，其他2个area每个方向一门来符合要求(也尽量选贴近Data和自己兴趣的课程), Leadership 和 technical各选一门完成要求，之后任选的2门随意挑Data或者CS里的好课就行。这样除了leadership和techinical的两门课自己没什么选择，其他8门基本都是Data Domain的。

CGGT

一届大概10-20人

课程设置安排很偏重图形学，与其说是Computer Graphic and Game Technology，不如说就是Focus on CG。

课业负担非常重，很难挤出刷题的时间，但是如果以后有志于游戏开发和图形引擎，这个项目还是很有用的。

2021届由于有20届defer的加入，因此人数多了很多，历年大概15-20人左右。
学生背景以本科计算机出身为主。就业方向有general sde，graphic engineer, game dev, render pipeline。

转专业

这个专业对于转专业很不友好。可能是历年都有很多人把CGGT当做跳板，转到宾大的其他计算机项目，所以Stephen Lane老头规定你必须至少完成一年的CGGT学业，才允许转专业。
而宾大对转专业的要求是第一学期-第三学期，所以时间很不友好，转专业也相当于你目前上过的课全部白上，得从头修读10门课。
个人认为不是性价比高的选择。

CIS

据说R1比R2的bar高。喜欢海本，几乎是陆本黑洞

喜欢完全无cs背景

近两年似乎就业奇差，甚至不如NEU，workload巨大，无时间刷题，career fair 弱，不考虑了，bar非常高，几乎无陆本

Meng 在reddit和地里看到的dp都会高一些而且貌似很看实习创业之类的经历出身也都很好，Ms的bar低不少感觉是这样；

meng就是把ms的其中两节课变成2门管理课其他课都是在一起上的没啥区别

开学的时候这两个还能转来转去

Meng 和 MS 的 bar 差不多；MEng 比 MS 多两门管理课，可互转，可以全软课毕业，上岸率比较高，ECE 中最适合转码的一批

在读学生说的meng一共就10+个人，ms一百左右

Stanford是quarter制然后需要45个unit毕业，大概5-6个quarter可以毕业，如果每学期 8, 9 个unit 让然后暑期实习的话，就是要将近两年左右毕业。

然后学费不是特别的贵，基本和我公立学校本科差不多，不超过10个unit，今年每个quarter 学费 $11,770+ 杂费

选课的话，没什么压力，基本上是随便选而且很多课都没有enrollment上限，我来自公立大U所以一开始特别紧张担心选不上，结果后来发现根本不用担心。

eecs一起办独立于全校的cs方向career fair，如果做硬件和apple合作，有apple来上的课每年定向招很多，选课无限制于mscs一样

Stanford MS&E在读第二年，感觉项目bar还是挺高的，每年录取个位数陆本，今年只录取了一个。大家普遍GT都很高，实习或者科研一方面比较出色，不过确实有一定的玄学成分，有的时候会录取本科学校不那么好的同学？

如果有强推，有高水平的论文和闪亮的PS，进去的可能性就大，GRE是最不重要的指标

中国人其实不算少，一届大概有十多个，但趋势是美本越来越多了。申请人数我不是很清楚，但确实我有很多背景非常好的同学被拒了，可能也有运气或者背景不够match的成分。

谢楼主啊！ 另外请问统计问的问题是什么形式的呢？往年中国区是当面面试所以都是直接给试卷埋头写。今年因为疫情改成skype了，请问问的问题是口头形式的概念题吗？还是口头问应用题然后当场在纸上实时写出来？
