Midterm 1

Some logistics questions regarding midterm 1:

• 75-min in-class exam on Mar 4 (AGH 106 at 1:45 PM)
• Please line up outside AGH 106 before the staff team let you in
• The exam is closed-book
• You can optionally bring one-page cheatsheet (letter/A4 size with two sides)
• No need for calculator
• Please bring your student ID

To help you prepare for midterm 1, two practice exams are posted on the course website. We will go through the questions during the revision session next Monday.

Midterm 1 will cover the following topics:

• linear regression,
• logistic regression,
• neural network,
• KNN,
• decision trees.

May we use A4 paper for the cheatsheet, or does it have to be letter size? Yes

Past exams are MCQs and short/long answer questions combined.

There wiil be two midterms and no final.
